You leave Le Tour village, walk up through the flowered pasture to Col de Balme (border with Switzerland).A wonderful scenery is offered to you: Mont Blanc, Aiguille Verte, Drus ... A descent through the forest leads you to Trient village
Two options according to the weather and conditions: Bovine taking a trail in balcony dominating the Rhône valley or la fenêtre d'Arpette, more challenging to enjoy a stunning view on Trient glacier. Steep descend in rocky parts to reach Champex.
You'll leave Switzerland behind you crossing Grand Col Ferret. Welcome to Italy, Pré-de-Bar glacier is impressive. Descent to the Italian val ferret.

Bus transfer to la Visaille. A beautiful walk along Combal lake at the bottom of Miage glacier and its huge moraine. Once at Col de la Seigne you'll be back in France. You leave behind you Estelette glacier, limestones pyramids and the Mont Blanc. Descent trough the alpine meadows to La Ville des Glaciers. The area of Beaufort Cheese, one of the best french cheese.
Hike up to reach Bonhomme hut and then Bonhomme pass. Descent to Notre Dame de la gorge, through a natural reserve following the ancient roman road.
Ascent to Col de Voza, then down to les Houches in Chamonix valley.
