Embark on a unique adventure on the second part of the Tour du Mont Blanc, crossing Italy, Switzerland, and France. Accompanied by our friendly donkeys, who will carry your gear, this baggage-free trek is perfect for families. Each stage is tailored to suit younger hikers, ensuring a fun and memorable experience for all.

Discover breathtaking alpine landscapes, encounter local wildlife, and enjoy cultural and gastronomic highlights. From glaciers and meadows to charming villages, every day offers new wonders and unforgettable family moments.

Day by day

Day 1 : Courmayeur – Bertone Refuge

Meeting at 11:15 a.m. at Courmayeur bus station. Before setting off on your family adventure around Mont Blanc, don’t miss the chance to enjoy some famous Italian gelato, a delight for both kids and adults. You’ll then hike through breathtaking landscapes toward Refuge Bertone, perched high in the mountains. The first climbs will already provide a glimpse of the stunning alpine scenery.

Day 2 : Bertone Refuge – Elena Refuge

Today’s trek takes you through the beautiful alpine pastures of Arminal and Malatra, where the milk from local cows is used to make Fontina, a creamy Italian cheese your children will love. Throughout the hike, you’ll enjoy stunning views of surrounding glaciers. This is a day of full immersion in nature, marked by the beauty of the mountains and local traditions. Arrive at Refuge Elena for a warm, cozy evening.

Day 3 : Elena Refuge – Alpage la Peule

The majestic Pré de Bar Glacier will accompany your ascent to the Grand Col Ferret, the pass marking the border between Italy and Switzerland. After crossing the pass, you’ll descend into the charming Swiss countryside, where flower-filled chalets and fluttering Swiss flags will captivate your children. The idyllic setting of La Peule awaits, offering a peaceful and restful end to the day.

Day 4 : Alpage la Peule - Gîte la lechere

A shorter day today allows more time to explore the foot of Mont Dolent, the meeting point of France, Switzerland, and Italy. You’ll have the chance to discover the secrets of making raclette, a delicious Swiss cheese. Along the way, keep an eye out for marmots and maybe even catch a glimpse of chamois before arriving at La Léchère Lodge for a convivial evening.

Day 5 : La Lechere - Champex

Today’s trek offers a gentle exploration of Swiss gardens, complete with their iconic garden gnomes! The children will delight in spotting these whimsical figures among the beautifully tended gardens. You’ll pass through quaint villages and enjoy a refreshing break at natural cold-water pools before reaching Champex, known as the "Little Pearl of the Alps. »

Day 6 : Champex - Forclaz pass

Leaving Champex, you’ll head toward the alpine pastures of Plan d’Aulp, a natural viewpoint offering a splendid view of the Dents du Midi, an imposing mountain range at the heart of the Alps. Along the way, you can admire Hérens cows, famous for their participation in traditional Queen fights. Arrive at Col de la Forclaz, a historic crossing point, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by Swiss nature.

Day 7 : Forclaz pass - Le Tour

On your final day, follow the scenic paths alongside ancient irrigation channels, known as "bisses," to the Trient Glacier. A last ascent brings you back into France, where you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of the Mont Blanc massif, a majestic finale to your family adventure. Your trek concludes at Le Tour, leaving you with unforgettable memories.
