Accompanied by our friendly donkeys, who will carry your gear, this baggage-free trek is perfect for families. Each stage is tailored to suit younger hikers, ensuring a fun and memorable experience for all.
Discover breathtaking alpine landscapes, encounter local wildlife, and enjoy cultural and gastronomic highlights. From glaciers and meadows to charming villages, every day offers new wonders and unforgettable family moments.
Meet at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Bellevue cable car in Les Houches to begin your adventure. You will ascend to the Col de Voza, where a stunning view of the Mont Blanc massif awaits you. Then, you will hike under the Bionnassay Glacier, a breathtaking setting, before reaching your first accommodation for the night.
Today's itinerary takes you past the magnificent chalets of Miage and Le Truc, offering an incredible view of the Miage Glacier, Mont Joly, and Val Montjoie. Following the ancient Roman road, you will arrive at your refuge for the night, nestled in a peaceful environment.
Following in the footsteps of ancient travelers, you will take the historic trail that connected Chamonix to Italy for centuries. The sound of cowbells from grazing cattle in the surrounding pastures will accompany you as you make your way toward the Refuge du Bonhomme.
This is your last day in France. You will start with a beautiful descent through lush alpine meadows, where you will see cows whose milk is used to make the famous Beaufort cheese. A short transfer will then take you to the Plan de la Lai refuge.
After a short transfer to the Ville des Glaciers, this grand day will lead you into Italy via the Col de la Seigne. Along the way, you might spot marmots, the emblematic creatures of the Alps. In the evening, relax at Rifugio Elisabetta and enjoy some delicious Italian ice cream.
You will begin a spectacular traverse with panoramic views of the Grandes Jorasses, a true Alpine postcard scene. During this day, you'll meet Giacomo, a colorful local character, in an alpine meadow well-loved by our donkeys.
For this final stage, you will descend toward Courmayeur, a picturesque Italian town nestled at the foot of Mont Blanc. Enjoy your last moments with your faithful companions before giving them one last affectionate pat goodbye.
